Can you list the steps (vaguely even) on how to draw portraits and pictures of people with only a pencil? I only paint landscapes in oil so I don't have the slightest clue. Do you like wet on wet style oil paintings or any oil paints btw?

When I get started I make sure I measure my subject. Once I get the pencil sketch / outline down and I feel confident I squint my eyes and find the ?darkest darks? and ?lightest lights?. I try to identify the cast shadows and the form shadows. (Cast shadows are when the object has appendages that literally cast shadows ? Form shadows are caused by the light source).?

After I get down the lightest lights / darkest darks I just kind of go with it?? ABlabluhh I?m a really bad explain-er / teacher thing
